In both name and spirit, we derive our company name from the anatomist Andreas Vesalius (1514-1564). Frustrated by the inaccuracies of previous interpretations of the human brain and body, Vesalius set out to establish the truth. He eventually became known as the founder of modern anatomy, and was the first person to fully map out the design of the human brain.
